ok! 8D this is my first attempt at painting, watercolours, my friend gave me a set for my birthday because ive been itching to learn how to paint xD! and so i spent a majority of the day working on this.
the character there is an original of mine, his name is Nathaniel, hes a little boy who has an influence over time. him along with 4 other of my character that ive been drawing for the past, 5 years xD i want to make into a childrens book owo, a very....twisted book xD but regardless
:0 lemme know what you all think, be honest xD this is my first time and piece with water colours, all advice and critque will be, welcomed >w<
I like it! The gears and clock stuff are really awesome. I think it would look better if his skin was painted too though, or if maybe there were just more colors.
yeah I think his skin should have color too... like a very sepia-esque color. I duno.. .watercolors are HARD. I'm awful at them... they're hard to control and if you don't know how to control them, you could ruin a drawing. though with this style it would be really easy and more effective (if you wanna give off that old fashion type vibe) to maybe do each color sepia like. Everything is tan tinted... because the stuff is kinda old-fashion to me, ya know? like maybe start out by painting the entire sheet of paper light brown so that everything you put over it is like that, you know? Because watercolors are see-through to begin with...
-- Oh, dear, I cannot tease you about that. What a shame, for I dearly love to laugh. .
yeah, ima keep praticing @w@, i think i did an alright job for my 1st attempt, and your idea of browning the page would fit well with nathniel ( god i cant spell his name), sprokect and maybe isabelle, but midnight and patches are very, victorian.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
